River Wildlife Monitoring Demonstration on Dunglass Island

Fishery Board Staff will demonstrate how they manage and monitor fish stocks within the Cromarty catchment using electro fishing and kick sampling techniques.
This event will take place on September 1st on Dunglass Island from 1-3pm.
Meet over the wooden bridge below Seaforth Riding Centre.
Sturdy footwear or wellies are advised for the short walk to the nursery channel and appropriate clothing for the days weather.
Himalayan balsam a non native invasive species lives on the Dunglass island along with American mink. Learn how they impact on native flora and fauna and what you can do to help !
